This is 2.7.x specific:
It used to return the new node created after the param merge, now it returns
the name of the environment we are in.
I am using it like this:
<pre>
# irb
irb(main):001:0> require 'puppet'
=> true
irb(main):002:0> Puppet::Node.new('foo').merge(:param1=>'value')
=> "production"
</pre>
