Michael Hashizume created an issue   Puppet / PUP-11845 Build ucrt gems Issue Type: New Feature Assignee: Unassigned Created: 2023/04/26 2:08 PM Priority: Normal Reporter: Michael Hashizume Currently, for Windows we build and ship gems using the MinGW environment (i.e. using the msvcrt C library). urcrt (universal C runtime) is a newer environment / C library used in the Windows ecosystem. ucrt is used by default by Visual Studio and in newer Ruby versions (> 3?) in the setup-ruby action used in GitHub Actions. We should build and ship ucrt-based puppet gems in addition to / in place of mingw gems.
