Issue #7199 has been updated by Kent Holloway.
I'm seeing these messages also for multiple nodes even after running for a day or so with the new inventory stuff enabled. Happening on every run on some hosts and only occasionally on other hosts. I have 500 or so nodes reporting to a single puppet master. Puppet Agents are 2.6.8 on Solaris 10 (SPARC and X86) Puppet master is 2.6.8 on Solaris 10 (SPARC) using Apache 2.2.17 w/Passenger 3.0.7 Inventory DB is MySQL Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.90, for sun-solaris2.8 (sparc) using readline 6.1 ---------------------------------------- Bug #7199: Mysql deadlock with inventory enabled https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/7199 Author: Chad Huneycutt Status: Unreviewed Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: Target version: Affected Puppet version: Keywords: Branch: I just enabled the new inventory features with the activerecord terminus, and I am seeing errors like the following in my master.log: Mysql::Error: Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction: INSERT INTO `inventory_facts` (`value`, `name`, `node_id`) VALUES ('Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9650 @ 3.00GHz', 'processor3', 29) If that seems serious I can track down more info; I see it relatively frequently. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
