We're fixing this with a mod_rewrite rule forcing /users/new into HTTPS.

Bug #7212: Confirmation emails include broken link
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/7212

Author: Randall Hansen
Status: Closed
Priority: Urgent
Assignee:
Category:
Target version:
Keywords:
Branch:
Affected URL:

I just registered and received an email with this link:

http://forge.puppetlabs.com:443/users/confirmation?confirmation_token=Zxr6Ek65FEFz0uzvwym8

Clicking on it resulted in this message:

    Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Reason: You're speaking plain HTTP to an SSL-enabled server port.
Instead use the HTTPS scheme to access this URL, please.
      Hint: https://projects.puppetlabs.com/
    Apache/2.2.14 (Ubuntu) Server at projects.puppetlabs.com Port 443

Changing the link to `https` works as expected.
