Issue #7443 has been updated by Nick Fagerlund.
I'm sorry, I don't know who that assignee should be. You'll need to talk to PS,
sales, and possibly R&D. Of your questions, here are the ones I have answers to:
* Where are generated (sold) keys kept?
* /etc/puppetlabs/license.key. Unless you're asking about some repository
of keys here at Puppet?
* How are they verified?
* They aren't.
* Do they expire? If so, what then?
* Yes. It's logged as a warning on the master. (Not the agents, per Nigel a
second ago.) All functionality remains intact. This answer is available
[here](http://www.puppetlabs.com/licensing-faq/).
* A general overview of how they work would be great
* The relevant user-facing details are
[here](http://www.puppetlabs.com/licensing-faq/). PS or sales-facing details
aren't known to me.
