Issue #6374 has been updated by Nigel Kersten.
Rather than thinking about this as reports, what if we offered the functionality for a puppet master to aggregate certain kinds of events into a format that can be parsed easily? That way we could cover a broader range of events, such as clients being rejected due to SSL mismatches, broken connections, all things that couldn't fit into the request above if the client was responsible for sending reports. ---------------------------------------- Feature #6374: Cannot compile manifest report https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/6374 Author: Digant Kasundra Status: Needs More Information Priority: Normal Assignee: Nigel Kersten Category: Target version: Affected Puppet version: Keywords: Branch: Hello, We would like to request a new kind of report for the puppetmaster. We think it would be great if the puppetmaster could send an email when a server manifest cannot be compiled (due to syntax errors or whatever). This would give us instant notification rather than watching logs. -- DK -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
