---------------------------------------- Bug #8075: Arbitrary calls from Ruby DSL causes a spin into the abyss https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/8075 Author: Jeff McCune Status: Accepted Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: Target version: Affected Puppet version: Keywords: Branch: # Overview # When in a class in the Ruby DSL, making a call to something that does not exist causes Puppet to hang with no visible feedback or output. Pressing Ctrl-C quits and displays the error message:
# testclass.rb hostclass :testclass do i_definitely_do_not_exist end # site.pp node default { include testclass }
When running Puppet with this manifest, it hangs. Pressing control-c yields the error, but Puppet hangs until ctrl-c is pressed. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
