Issue #5387 has been updated by Michael Stahnke. Assignee changed from Nigel Kersten to Michael Stahnke Keywords set to version
I'm switching to using git describe as the VERSION string. So at an official release, it will be a hard tag of X.y.z but if running out of master, it should be a bit more descriptive. ---------------------------------------- Bug #5387: Version number should indicate pre-release software https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/5387 Author: Igal Koshevoy Status: Investigating Priority: High Assignee: Michael Stahnke Category: Target version: Keywords: version Branch: Affected URL: Affected Dashboard version: 1.0.5 The "master" branch currently contains untested, pre-release software, yet the VERSION file still says it's "1.0.4". Please make it very clear to the user that they're running a pre-release of the software by setting the VERSION to something like "1.0.5pre", "1.0.5dev", "1.0.5edge", etc. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
