Issue #8239 has been updated by Giles Constant.
bump.. here's a workaround which made it go away.. so it appears that getconf
and facts don't get on..
Facter.add("bf_pagesize") do
setcode do
if !FileTest.exists?('/var/lib/puppet/pagesize')
`getconf PAGE_SIZE > /var/lib/puppet/pagesize`
end
File.open('/var/lib/puppet/pagesize').read()
end
end

Facter version 1.5.8, Puppet 2.6.6.
I've had a look at the old bug relating to 'timeout' in resolution.rb, but
setting it to an integer other than 0 didn't make the problem go away.
