Issue #8796 has been updated by Randall Hansen.
Errors of this type just display /public/500.html. We can alter that file to say whatever we want. Nick F is who I would ask to write a good error page. Unless you're talking about a specific error that we need to catch with code and display inside the application. ---------------------------------------- Bug #8796: misleading error message https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/8796 Author: Nigel Kersten Status: Investigating Priority: High Assignee: Randall Hansen Category: Target version: Keywords: Branch: Affected URL: Affected Dashboard version: 1.0.4 The general error message is horrible. ## We're sorry, but something went wrong. We've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly. ## No-one has been notified, and no-one will come look at it shortly. ### :( ### What should we provide instead? A suggestion to look at the log if you're a systems administrator, or to contact your helpdesk? A default like that with a configurable string to display? -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
