Issue #8842 has been reported by Jeff McCune. ---------------------------------------- Feature #8842: stdlib module should manage a spool directory https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/8842
Author: Jeff McCune Status: Unreviewed Priority: Normal Assignee: Cody Herriges Category: stdlib Target version: Keywords: stdlib spool file fragment pattern Branch: ody:tickets/master/1 # Overview # (Copied from github issue tracker) Originally reported by Cody The puppetlabs-stdlib module should define a default spool directory for use with the file fragment pattern. Cody's original topic branch for this is `ody:tickets/master/1` My comment on Github, and why I did not merge this into master, is that I believe including the accounts class should effectively be a noop. I'd like the end user, or another module author to have to explicitly require a `stdlib::spool` class or something equivalent to get the desired functionality. I'm not trying to prescribe the implementation, just provide context of why I didn't merge the original pull request.
