Bug #9001: FreeBSD ports is patching things, maybe slurp upstream
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/9001

Author: Jordan Sissel
Status: Needs More Information
Priority: Normal
Assignee: Jordan Sissel
Category: FreeBSD
Target version:
Affected Puppet version:
Keywords:
Branch:

The puppet freebsd port has two major patches:

* This disables the 'ports' provider:
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/sysutils/puppet/files/patch-demote_ports_provider?rev=1.1;content-type=text%2Fplain

* This pretty much completely replaces the 'freebsd' provider with a custom one
made by the freebsd port maintainers:
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/sysutils/puppet/files/optpatch-package_origin?rev=1.3;content-type=text%2Fplain

Thoughts about accepting this upstream?
