I cherry-picked the commit Luke made during the external scripts work. This is
separate for obvious reasons: getting it into 1.6.x since external scripts will
probably not be in 1.6.x & the changes weren't necessarily related so should be
tracked and reviewed separately.
You can test this by installing the gem:
gem install watchr
Then running:
watchr spec/watchr.rb
If you have growlnotify you should also get growl notifications.
