Issue #8229 has been updated by Dominic Maraglia.
Status changed from Needs More Information to Investigating
I have reproduced this error using PE2.0. As indicated in the ticket notes,
this is totally unrelated to timeouts. but rather is an issue of backing up
files.
I was installing Jenkins pluggins which failed when trying to backup the
pluggin file; adding "backup => false," solved the problem. This should be in
the release notes for PE, at the very least.
<pre>
file {
"${plugin_dir}/${plugin}":
owner => 'jenkins',
ensure => $ensure,
require => Exec["download-${name}"],
mode => '640',
backup => false,
}
</pre>
