It runs once immediately when started and then every runinterval after that.

The runinterval starts again after the run is finished. It waits that
period and then runs again unless you intervene in some way.

Run failures do not change the runinterval.

Or you could just use splay as that's its for or trigger puppet runs with
Rand() runintervals.
