Issue #11423 has been updated by Daniel Pittman. Status changed from Accepted to In Topic Branch Pending Review Assignee deleted (Daniel Pittman)
---------------------------------------- Bug #11423: Misleading error message when you import duplicate resources from StoreConfigs https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/11423 Author: Daniel Pittman Status: In Topic Branch Pending Review Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: stored configuration Target version: Affected Puppet version: 2.7.0 Keywords: Branch: https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/pull/277 The code in `collect_exported` in `lib/puppet/parser/collector.rb` has some poor logic: if you import two resources with the same type and title from two other machines, it will report that "Exported resource foo cannot override *local* resource". This is because it walks through all the resources it finds and checks if they duplicate something already known about. If not, they get added to the collection. If there is a duplicate, though, it assumes that is local, and issues a message as such. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
