Issue #4784 has been updated by Daniel Pittman. Description updated Status changed from Unreviewed to Rejected
Nice idea, but it can be solved when we have a concrete use case that demands it. Otherwise we are building infrastructure that may never get used. ---------------------------------------- Feature #4784: Allow different defaults for different run_modes https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/4784 Author: Jesse Wolfe Status: Rejected Priority: High Assignee: Category: Target version: Telly Affected Puppet version: Keywords: Branch: Puppet::Util::Settings currently allows users to set different settings values for different run_modes, but there is not an equivalent mechanism to set different *default* settings for different run_modes. It should be possible to extend the settings algorithm to support multiple defaults. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
