Issue #12610 has been reported by Matt Robinson. ---------------------------------------- Bug #12610: puppet module list --tree should truncate repeated data https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/12610
Author: Matt Robinson Status: Accepted Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: Target version: Affected Puppet version: Keywords: geordi Branch: Right now if a module is depended upon by a lot of other modules, it's whole dependency tree is shown repeatedly. This leads to some unpleasant duplication. Not many modules exhibit this deeply nested dependency structure, but ghoneycutt's modules definitely do. If we do a breadth first instead of depth first walk of the dependency tree, and then keep track of modules we've already printed, we should be able to just print the deeply nested structure at the highest level of the dependency chain. I'm associating this with V2 in order to focus on other things for V1. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
