Issue #12602 has been updated by Chris Price.

Status changed from Unreviewed to Accepted
Priority changed from Normal to Urgent

This seems like a prety high-priority item to me.

Bug #12602: As someone reliant on puppet reports, I would like the agents to
have the ability to ensure that the reports have been transmitted, so that I do
not lose any reports

[01:50pm|dpittman> Even if you could send reports masterless, which is a bug if
it doesn't work, I would guess the network problems would make it ...
unreliable; the agent tries *once* and then drops the content on the floor, so
one tiny network hickup...
[01:53pm|ghoneycutt> dpittman: sounds like we need a way to ensure transmission
[01:53pm|dpittman> ghoneycutt: desparately. :)

This ticket would provide the capability of the agent to know that the master
had received a given report.
