Issue #13050 has been reported by Garrett Wollman. ---------------------------------------- Feature #13050: FreeBSD should support a tzname fact https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/13050
Author: Garrett Wollman Status: Unreviewed Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: Target version: Keywords: Branch: Affected Facter version: 1.6.6 FreeBSD 9.0 (and possibly 8.3, I haven't checked) and later cache the name of the configured timezone in /var/db/zoneinfo. This is more meaningful than the contents of struct tm's tm_zone, and would be useful as a condition to determine whether to sync a new /etc/localtime out when the government screws with your timezone. I'm not sure what the best way to add this is, so no patch supplied. (The /var/db/zoneinfo file is a single line of text with the name of the zone, suitable for use in tzsetup(8) or $TZ.) -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
