I'm also seeing this on CentOS 5.5 and 5.8 running puppet and puppetmaster 2.6.4. I am running four puppetmasters that are configured identically as far as I can tell and this is only happening on one of them. I upgraded it from CentOS 5.5 to CentOS 5.8 and that did not solve the issue. The server that's having this problem is a new purchase while the servers not showing this problem have been running for months to years (in case that helps.) I am using the default puppetmasterd and not the Passenger setup. When I try to migrate to a Passenger setup, I keep getting segfaults in httpd. I'm sure this can be solved but unless we're absolutely sure this problem is solved in Passenger, I'd rather just run puppetmasterd for this and avoid dealing with the issues of getting Passenger working.
