The affected platform in this case is Ubuntu 11.10. Given this platform, the output of `initctl --version` is as follows: <pre> root@deb-builder:~# /sbin/initctl --version initctl (upstart 1.3) Copyright (C) 2011 Scott James Remnant, Canonical Ltd.
