Issue #15188 has been updated by Luke Kanies. Status changed from Needs More Information to Rejected
You're right - I was confused because of the lack of output, and, really, my rustiness in running Puppet. In 2.7, I get exception output on stderr, but no logs. ---------------------------------------- Bug #15188: Connection error should be fatal to agent https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/15188#change-65656 Author: Luke Kanies Status: Rejected Priority: Normal Assignee: Luke Kanies Category: Target version: Affected Puppet version: 3.0.0rc3 Keywords: Branch: When the agent can't connect to a server, it should eventually die, but it doesn't. Run the agent, trying to connect to a server that isn't listening - it just hangs forever. At first I thought I had to specify --no-usecacheonfailure, but that still doesn't result in a fatal error. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
