Bug #15585: External facts does not parse text facts with an '=' correctly.
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/15585

Author: Hailee Kenney
Status: Accepted
Priority: Normal
Assignee:
Category:
Target version: 2.0.0
Keywords:
Branch:
Affected Facter version:

Since the general format for txt facts is like this:

<pre>
fact_name=fact_value
</pre>

There is some ambiguity around what will happen if you want an '=' in your fact
value. It seems that this is not dealt with in the most desirable away. If you
have an external fact defined as:
<pre>
test_fact=a=a
</pre>

Then when you run Facter, it will return:
<pre>
$ facter
test_fact=a => a
</pre>

This is probably not the behavior that we're looking for, as there is more
likely to be a case where you may want an '=' in your fact value then in your
fact name. This should just be a quick fix in the txt parser.
