Issue #15770 has been updated by Nigel Kersten.
I want an environments.conf file, but UX should have a big say here. I think it's relatively uncontroversial that it's a pretty crap situation to have `[agent]` `[master]` and `[environment]` sections in puppet.conf. One of these things is not like the others :) It's possible that an `[environments]` section with sub-sections would work too, but I think it's different enough that it should be in another location. ---------------------------------------- Bug #15770: Deprecate environment configuration in puppet.conf https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/15770#change-68018 Author: eric sorenson Status: Unreviewed Priority: Normal Assignee: Nigel Kersten Category: environments Target version: 3.x Affected Puppet version: Keywords: telly_deprecation Branch: There's a confusing overload between the config stanzas in puppet.conf, some of which are used for run-mode-specific configuration and others for environments. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
