Issue #15382 has been updated by eric sorenson. Status changed from Unreviewed to Rejected
I don't think this is something we'd support. Why not comment the puppet manifests instead of the fstab directly? ---------------------------------------- Feature #15382: Support for comments in fstab file with mount type https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/15382#change-68928 Author: Ken Johnson Status: Rejected Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: mount Target version: Affected Puppet version: Keywords: Branch: We have a user who has some scripts which make use of comments in their fstab files. Puppet's mount type currently doesn't seem able to preserve comments or manage them in any way. It might be nice to be able to either tell Puppet to preserve comments on fstab entries, or manage comments in addition to their other characteristics. Something like a comments parameter for the mount type? e.g. mount { ‘/etc/sda1’: mountpoint => ‘/some/location’, comments => ‘A comment!’, } -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
