Issue #7600 has been updated by Forrest Aldrich.
Just a side note here, in another application we have a lot of NFS mounts in production that sometimes need to be unmounted and purged from many systems. Presently, with Puppet, you can just no longer manage the service and it will remove it from the /etc/fstab -- but it leaves the mount point directory behind. I'd be happy with a purge option or something similar that would allow me to clean it up and ensure it remains uniform. ---------------------------------------- Feature #7600: Need ability to remove all unmanaged resources https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/7600#change-71675 Author: Randall Hansen Status: Investigating Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: Target version: Affected Puppet version: Keywords: puppetcamp-eu-2011 Branch: This works, purging all unmanaged hosts entries: resources { 'host': purge => true, noop => true, } We should have a similar property for all (most?) types. -- *This ticket is a request for comment, coming out of a discussion at Puppet Camp EU, 2011.
