----------------------------------------
Bug #8314: MacPorts package provider takes variant for revision
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/8314#change-72001

Author: Matthias Pigulla
Status: Closed
Priority: Normal
Assignee: Matthias Pigulla
Category: provider
Target version: 3.0.0
Affected Puppet version:
Keywords: macports provider
Branch:

The macports package provider incorrectly parses `port -q installed` output,
interpreting a possibly installed variant as part of the revision.

Subsequently, when ensuring latest it will try to upgrade the package every
time because the assumed revision does not match the latest one.

Example: On every run, it says

...
notice: /Stage[main]//Macports::Package[apache2]/Package[apache2]/ensure:
ensure changed '2.2.19' to '2.2.19_0'
...

but:

prompt> port -q installed apache2
 ...
 apache2 @2.2.19_0+preforkmpm+universal (active)
