Issue #17778 has been updated by Dominic Cleal. Tracker changed from Bug to Feature
---------------------------------------- Feature #17778: More *BSD support https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/17778#change-77350 Author: Daniele Sluijters Status: Unreviewed Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: library Target version: Keywords: bsd, operatingsystem, osfamily Branch: Affected Facter version: Facter's BSD support is limited. The operatingsystem fact is usually populated by whatever `uname -s` returns but in the case of pfSense for example that's FreeBSD, not pfSense so this becomes a bit of a hit and miss. The osfamily fact is also populated in the same way which accidentally happens to be correct in the above example but I'm not sure what would happen with the other FreeBSD derivatives for example: PC-BSD, DesktopBSD, GhostBSD, m0n0wall, FreeNAS. Then there's OpenBSD, NetBSD and DragonFly which this should probably also be better tested on. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
