Issue #17448 has been updated by eric sorenson. Status changed from Unreviewed to Accepted Assignee set to Nick Fagerlund
Nick, feel free to reassign these to someone on your team but since you worked through the epic thread on this, I picked you. Please help us clean up the example config files to be in line with the reality of the auth.conf setup in 3 as you understand it. ---------------------------------------- Bug #17448: Sample fileserver.conf still contains references to allow statements by ip https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/17448#change-78012 Author: Brian Harrington Status: Accepted Priority: Low Assignee: Nick Fagerlund Category: server Target version: Affected Puppet version: 3.0.1 Keywords: redhat linux Branch: In version 3.0.1-1 EL6 of the RPMs the sample fileserver.conf contains references to using an allow statement by IP. As of this time this is still not implemented in this file (it's in auth.conf) as per Bug ID: 16686 and CVE-2012-3408. This should be removed (and possibly a comment mentioning auth.conf added). -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
