Bug #18229: Eroneous command given in puppet module error message
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/18229#change-84462

Author: Gerard Hickey
Status: Merged - Pending Release
Priority: Normal
Assignee:
Category: module tool
Target version: 3.2.0
Affected Puppet version: 3.0.1
Keywords: module error message simplefix
Branch: https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/pull/1513

I executed the following and the error output of the puppet module command gave
an invalid switch.

    [email protected]:puppet/common-modules> puppet module install
ghoneycutt-ntp
Preparing to install into /Users/ghickey/.puppet/modules ...
    Downloading from http://forge.puppetlabs.com ...
Error: Could not install module 'ghoneycutt-ntp' (latest: v1.0.0)
      Installation would overwrite /Users/ghickey/.puppet/modules/ntp
Currently, 'puppetlabs-ntp' (v0.2.0) is installed to that directory
Use `puppet module install --dir <DIR>` to install modules elsewhere
Use `puppet module install --force` to install this module anyway
    [email protected]:puppet/common-modules{1}> puppet module
install --dir . ghoneycutt-ntp
Could not parse options: invalid option: --dir
