Issue #19882 has been updated by Alejandro Ramirez.

New pull request at https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/pull/1595

----------------------------------------
Feature #19882: User's type 'shell' parameter should be validated
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/19882#change-89148

* Author: Alejandro Ramirez
* Status: Unreviewed
* Priority: Normal
* Assignee: Alejandro Ramirez
* Category: user
* Target version:
* Affected Puppet version:
* Keywords: user shell validation
* Branch:
----------------------------------------
The desc reads: "The user's login shell. The shell must exist and be
executable. This attribute cannot be managed on Windows systems."

Its simple to shoot oneself in the foot with a typo or misunderstaning the
definition (thinking it is multiple value (bash, sh instead of "/bin/bash" or
"/bin/sh"). A simple validation allows for avoiding nasty effects.
