Issue #20675 has been reported by Christian Flamm.

----------------------------------------
Bug #20675: Bug/question: No error or warning for self-requiring resources
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/20675

* Author: Christian Flamm
* Status: Unreviewed
* Priority: Normal
* Assignee:
* Category: compiler
* Target version:
* Affected Puppet version: 3.1.1
* Keywords: self-requirement dependency cycle
* Branch:
----------------------------------------
Is there any reason something like this...

    class self_requirement_test {
      $tmpfile = '/tmp/wtf'
      file { $tmpfile: require => File[$tmpfile] }
    }

... should not lead to an error or at least a warning? Isn't this just the
smallest dependency cycle?
