I got it working, by using this EXACT path: "\\\\my-software01\\autorepo\$\\NSCP-0.4.0.183-Win32.msi" IMHO puppet should autoescape and check/fix UNC paths - since msiexec is really ficle about this. ---------------------------------------- Bug #20534: Some(!) And actually manual install of sflow on x86 fails (it seems they have packaged the wrong binary - so the service won't start - and that is part of what the installer does to validate install).
