---------------------------------------- Bug #3413: puppet fails to create a managed user's home directory https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/3413#change-92382 * Author: seph seph * Status: Accepted * Priority: Normal * Assignee: * Category: user * Target version: * Affected Puppet version: 0.25.4 * Keywords: * Branch: ---------------------------------------- I'm running puppet on ubuntu hardy. puppet and puppetmaster are version 0.25.4-4, build this morning. I have several system user that puppet manages. I changed the location of one of the home directories, and though puppet changed /etc/passwd, and has managehome set to true, puppet did not create the new homedir. Moving system user homedirs around doesn't seem that uncommon to me, this behavior seems unfortunate. It looks like there's been some other discussion about this on puppet-users http://groups.google.com/group/puppet-users/browse_thread/thread/2c80546c812b1796 -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
