Issue #21176 has been reported by Toni Müller. ---------------------------------------- Bug #21176: puppetmaster/webrick chooses a random port instead of using port 8140 https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/21176
* Author: Toni Müller * Status: Unreviewed * Priority: Normal * Assignee: * Category: Debian * Target version: * Affected Puppet version: 2.7.21 * Keywords: * Branch: ---------------------------------------- In version 2.7.21-1puppetlabs1, the puppet master does not start properly and, what's more, ignores the configuration file settings "masterport = 8140", too. Instead, the puppetmaster chooses a random port on each startup. This makes it impossible for clients to contact this puppetmaster. Downgrading to Debian's 2.7.18-4 solved the problem. This is from the masterhttp.log (sample):
[2013-06-10 15:01:00] INFO WEBrick::HTTPServer#start: pid=3640 port=
Successful invocations have
[2013-06-10 15:59:31] INFO WEBrick::HTTPServer#start: pid=5136 port=8140
-- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
