Issue #21666 has been updated by Josh Cooper. Keywords changed from windows x64 to windows x64 customer
---------------------------------------- Feature #21666: Support ruby x64 on windows https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/21666#change-98086 * Author: Josh Cooper * Status: Accepted * Priority: Normal * Assignee: * Category: * Target version: * Affected Puppet version: * Keywords: windows x64 customer * Branch: ---------------------------------------- Ruby installer has recently released ruby 2.0 compiled for x64. We should provide an x64 version of puppet so that users do not have to deal with filesystem direction, see <http://docs.puppetlabs.com/windows/running.html#file-system-redirection-in-64-bit-windows-versions> I'm filing this against puppet and not puppet_for_the_win, because there may be changes in core puppet due to pointers in Win32 APIs. Also ruby 2.0 is not binary compatible with 1.9, so gems with native code need to be recompiled against 2.0, e.g. win32-service, win32console, win32-api, sys-admin. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
