Issue #22891 has been updated by Melissa Stone.
Released in Puppet 3.4.0-rc1 ---------------------------------------- Bug #22891: FormatHandler does not respect puppet's preferred_serialization_format for Accept: */* https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/22891#change-100942 * Author: Josh Partlow * Status: Closed * Priority: Normal * Assignee: * Category: * Target version: 3.4.0 * Affected Puppet version: * Keywords: * Branch: https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/pull/2000 ---------------------------------------- There is a bug in lib/puppet/network/format_handler.rb's most_suitable_format_for which causes a random format to be selected for an Accept: */* header rather than paying attention to the sorted, weighted supported formats which are intended to provide their first element as a default. The fix may be as simple as returning supported.first on line 83 if accepted == '*/*', although it's not tremendously clear /why/ we are doing that there.
