Is it: an empty string, array or hash is not valid nil is not valid however, a partially generated fact can contain nil And did we converge on an answer wrt what happens if a fact is invalid? E.g. one solution we talked about was: hard failure (with an option to add a --only-warn-dont-fail-on-invalid-facts option at a later date). It's generally assumed that facts will only return strings, and that empty strings can be converted to nil.
