It doesn't matter how PE wants to present this data to the user; there's a finite amount of data about errors that can be provided by the agent, this seems like it's just a matter of figuring out how to present that data in the report. I'm a bit worried by the idea that this would be done by the PE team, as opposed to PE being just another consumer of the API.
