Henrik Lindberg commented on an issue   Re: Add a LambdaType to the type system Yes, you defined the signature to accept an optional Callable (any signature, known as 'block' when it reports errors), and you managed to call it. (And a Lambda is a Callable) Your other options are to define a required block, manually type it, and manually give it another name than 'block'. At this point, since you cannot currently type a Lambda (its arguments are always Optional[Object]) it is kind of difficult to really test except for arity. I.e. if you require the block to be Callable[String], it would accept the lambda in your example, but not if you typed it Callable[String, String] (since it only has one parameter). Add Comment   Puppet / PUP-2026 Add a LambdaType to the type system The type system lacks a type to describe a Puppet Lambda. This is needed when the type system is used to describe function type signatures. Suggest that this type is called Lambda in the puppet language, and it is parameterized the same way a TupleType is parameterized (to allow it to describe required, optional, and variable number of arguments.
