I think thats possible, I wouldn't want to go beyond that level of complexity however. Today the index.html is static so we'd have to probably template that or something, or alternatively keep it in _javascript_ and make an API call for it, but that seems like overkill for something so trivial. Point being its possible to do, but not exactly a 1 liner. My ssh config forwards the same port for puppetdb* so first man wins. It would be very helpfu...
