I appreciate your doing further background research. I read through foreman issue 4244 and I don't feel that this issue currently has enough information to clearly link the two. If you apply the hacky fix that was proposed for 4244, does it (temporarily) solve this issue? That fix was: Edit /usr/bin/puppet and add this line to the top: GC.disable = true Can you come up with a more limited puppet manifest that crashes puppet, so that you can post the test case here or on github, to help me reproduce it? I don't think the issue is likely to get resolved without a reproducible test case.
