Charlie Sharpsteen commented on PUP-3728   Re: Cron type uses incorrect month when month name is provided This behavior stems from the use of an array of strings against which the alphabetic value is matched to generate a numeric index: def alpha %w{january february march april may june july august september october november december} end The problem is that this method assumes 0 based indexing in the output range. The easiest fix is probably to add a "null" value to the beginning of the array so that the months indices are shifted up by one value.
