We use $operatingsystemrelease all over the place and it would be a
shame, IMO, to make everyone change for the few people who care about
the minor release version of their OS. If you want/need this for your
config, why not have $operatingsystemminorrelease and not force a
bunch of pointless work on everyone every time there's an upgrade?
