You might need to create some directories under ~/blastwave; put the scripts in there, and populate ~/blastwave/src with the tar.gz of the version you want to build. There are a few undocumented dependencies, like CSW's Gnu tar. To bump a version number, or override pretty much any other value coded in the script, feed the script a new environment variable with the new version number, eg:- cd ~/blastwave VERSION=1.5.6 ./facter-build.sh ... that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Feel free to suggest enhancements to the script and/or package.
