Hmm.  I generally just run individual tests directly, rather than  
using rake; have you tried 'spec unit/type/file.rb'?

Others have spent time making various rake tasks work, but I never use  
them so I can't say much about which should and shouldn't work.  And  
really, I use autotest 98% of the time.
