All --We have a confirmed regression (see #3025) of #1563 (apt-get hangs puppet) which was introduced in 0.25.2 with the patch to use pipes instead of temp files to communicate with sub-processes for SELinux (#2731). This problem persists despite an heroic effort by all the kings horses to patch things up. It is, however, easily resolved by reverting the patch for #2731, with no other changes. There is one other ticket, #3019, which I have been unable to replicate even on the user's box (usg), though I doo get an odd, somewhat troubling, and as yet unexplained failure ("Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: block type is not 01") which appears to be ssh related. As this occurs even with 0.25.1 (which formerly worked on these same machines, one of which has recently had it's RHEL version changed) I'm prepared to discount this as a blocker for 0.25.3. Consequently, unless anyone knows a reason I should not I'm going to start the wheels moving for calling my #3025 branch (0.25.2 with the pipe change reverted and nothing added) or that with Jesse's fix for #2887 applied 0.25.3 and releasing it ASAP.
Sounds good to me. Important problem, small change, to a previously known-good state; fast release seems called for.
