Interesting. Is is possible to have 1.2.3a be < 1.2.3?

If I'm putting out alpha code, I probably want you to upgrade to the
non-alpha with no issue.

So, 1 < 1.2 < 1.2.3a < 1.2.3b < 1.2.3rc < 1.2.3.
