So, been looking at this all day.. I was hoping to get away with writing a specialised rpm package provider, but it would appear that a class method on any given package provider needs to populate the list of installed packages before any instances have been created. I think this means I can't use any parameters passed into the resource (e.g. install_options). I need to get my dbpath arg on the rpm command for this to work.
